As the vibrant colours of spring begin to grace our beautiful New Zealand landscape, I am overjoyed to share the most precious new blossom in my life—my first granddaughter, Harper. I thank God for her safe arrival.
Her arrival has filled my heart with a sense of aroha (love) and tūmanako (hope, desire) that echoes the rejuvenation we see all around us.
In this season of growth and new beginnings, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey ahead, not only as a grandparent but also as a proud business owner here in our community. Just as the kowhai blooms and the tui sings, this new chapter brings a deep sense of renewal and inspiration that I carry into everything I do including here at Milton Andrews Hair Design and Mr Andrews Barbershop.
There’s something truly special about experiencing this joy in Aotearoa, where the whenua itself speaks of renewal and the promise of new beginnings. As we celebrate the arrival of my beautiful granddaughter, I’m reminded of the importance of community, family, and the connections we nurture both in our personal lives and through our local businesses.
Here’s to the new life that spring brings, whether it’s found in the sweet giggles of a newborn or the fresh breeze that carries the scent of blossoming manuka.
May this season fill our hearts with hope, joy, and the beauty of our shared journey
Nga Mihi and God Bless
